Hello Everyone!

Here is some general info we think would be helpful to share from our recent trip to Greece!
**This list is in no particular order.

- West Coast / Inner and small coast of the half moon is where you will find SUNSETS!
- East Coast / Outer and large coast will be where you find SUNRISES!

-European airlines are never on time.

-Parking sucks everywhere.

-NO APPLE PAY / APPLE WALLET.

-Cash is KING! Locals are taxed 53% of their income so they prefer cash.

-We suggest getting cash BEFORE your arrival. Our exchange rates are better than Europe’s. Take approximately 7days to do at the bank.

- Tipping is customary, around 10-15%. (If it is not expected for a specific task, they will turn it down.)

- During exploration, No heels!!!! I can not stress this enough. Comfortable foot wear please! I’m all for dressing up, so if you want to wear heals to the events, bring them with you and travel in your flats.
**I was comfortable in supportive sandals and wedges.

-Heavy duty electronics might like work. Like your blow dryer. ( Phone charged will be fine if you buy an adapter).

-Beaches and rocky and most are black due to the volcanic rock!

-Locals do not recommend walking on red beach. Visit by boat only.

-Bottle caps do not come off. They stay attached at one part due to littering issues.

-American Express is NOT ACCEPTED.

-They’re will be a defend amount of stray cats.

- it can be chilly at night.

- Select your credit card transactions to process in Euros, not dollars. The exchange rate is better this way.

- There are no traffic lights. Drive with common sense and be courteous!

-We recommend getting a car to get around, or rent a quad! They’re street legal.

- Uber is NOT safe or recommend.

-Lively areas: Fira and Karmari.
